page 207   Madison Co., Ga.: Jacob Allbright, for divers good reasons & considerations, give to my son William Allbright a negro man called Ben; to my son Joseph Allbright, a negro man called Tom; to my son Jeremiah Allbright, a negro man called George; to my son Henry Allbright, a negro boy called Jack; to my daughter Polly Veal, a negro man called Bobb; to my daughter Patsy Mattox, a negro man called Ned; to my daughter Elisabeth Allbright, a negro girl called Dorcas; I further give to my sons William and Jeremiah Allbright a tract on which they now live, 280 acres; to my sons Joseph and Henry, 200 acres granted to McIntire, being the tract on which I now live, reserving to myself such rooms in the dwelling house which I now live in as I may think proper to make claim of, a free passway to the spring with the privilege in common with them, the use of the kitchen, corn crib, smoke house, stables, &c, during my lifetime. It is further to be understood that this land given to my sons William, Joseph, Jeremiah & Henry is at my death to be estimated at $500 to each of my sons, making in whole $2000, at which time my afsd. daughters to be entitled to an equal share, making in whole 7 shares. If any of my sons fail to pay my daughters their proportional sum or part in the land, shall be considered a forfeiture of his interest to his share of the land; nevertheless, if I should at my death leave property sufficient for my daughters to receive $500 each, they are to have no claims on my sons for the land; should there not be property left to give my daughters $500 each, the value of whatever is left to be thrown together with the value of the lands at $2000, and each of my children, sons and daughters, to divide the whole into 7 parts; if property left amounts to more than is sufficient to give my daughters $500 each, it should be divided equally between all my children. To enable my children to pay my debts, I give them the following property; my present crops of cotton, sorrel stud colt, all my other property; if insufficient to pay my debts, all my children to pay an equal proportion; reserving to myself one horse called Lepard, one black walnut table, all the beds & their furniture, 8 hogs now fatning in the pen, one walnut desk, one cupboard and its contents, one clock, one shot gunn, 40 barrels corn, 2 stacks of fodder, 30 bushels wheat, half dozen chairs, so much of the kitchen furniture as I may think advisable on the day of sale, salt sufficient to salt my meat, meat tubs, &c, and such other household furniture as I may wish to reserve on the day of sale, also 2 cows & calves, one dairy , also reserving so much of the proceeds of the sale sufficient to purchase me such saddle as I may choose, also one small trunk, also reserve to myself one negro woman called Rachel, one negro boy called Sam, free privilege in common with all parts of the house, all the geese, ducks & fowl. 22 Nov 1820.
